Plus and Minus in Action

Our twenty-year experience at Plus&Minus teaches us that most companies generate many sales documents and a few purchase documents or the reverse. In Plus&Minus, the sale and purchase writers are operationally the same except for terminology. Members can seamlessly move from sales to purchasing and back again without learning and maintaining a different set of skills. 

The Single-File-Design deployed by Plus& Minus is a more efficient approach. ALL accounting transactions, no matter where they originate, are stored in one file from which the computer can retrieve data as requested and present it in the form in which it is needed. The result is, all data is available at all times, on demand.

 

 

Point of Sales Sales personnel use one screen to process sales transactions by scanning or keying in items sold and printing an invoice. Payment methods are cash, credit card or account.

Purchasing Purchase orders are generated and transmitted to Handy Hardware Wholesale quickly and easily. Receiving is entered into inventory by scanner or with one keystroke for the entire order. Back orders are automatically generated for stock not received.  

Inventory EOQ – Economic Order Quantity controls are built into Plus&Minus. EOQ determines the level of stock that needs to be replenished at any time. This aids in comparing the cost of carrying inventory with the cost of going through a purchase cycle and develops the lowest possible cost to the company. 

 Back Office Operations are automated with Plus&Minus. Beyond basic inventory control features, its capabilities promote optimum inventory levels, control costs, and set pricing. It supports thousands of items of different types (standard, kit, serialized, matrix, lot matrix, tag-along, parent-child, mix & match, etc.).
