Design

The Plus & Minus Single-File Design (SFD) solves one of the most significant problems that has long plagued business accounting systems: how to separate data recording functions from data reporting functions. With most systems, data processing concepts such as "batching", "posting", and "closing" are mandatory components of a rigid cycle for purposes of producing reports. Omit any one of these procedures and, in most cases, the resulting reports will fail to include all relevant transactions. With Plus & Minus, data processing and reporting are completely independent because the system is both transaction based and document based. SFD architecture reflects all transactions that have been entered at any time into any area of the system.
